Brooklyn | Fabricator for Camber Studio

Role: Architectural Intern


Camber Studio is assembling a small team of skilled fabricators to build a large sculpture feature and several small amenity spaces for a facility located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The project will be ramping up over the next few weeks and will run through the spring of 2021. The work will be evenly split between fabrication tasks at our digital fabrication shop in Red Hook, Brooklyn and on-site installation.

Duties include:

  • Careful handling of fine wood and metal components
  • Careful assembly of unique components with a high level of craftsmanship
  • Safely working on ladders and scaffolding
  • Safely operating a scissor lift
  • On the fly problem solving


  • Experience with fabrication methods and techniques
  • Advanced degree or technical training in a related field
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all members of the project team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to read architectural plans

Additional Skills a plus:

  • Knowledge of CNC machinery & programming
  • Proficiency with Rhino3D & 2D drafting
  • Experience working directly with contractors, consultants and vendors
  • Google Doc applications

Salary commensurate with experience.
